Senior iOS & Android Mobile Application Developer

CyberActive is seeking a highly experienced Senior Mobile Application Developer to take ownership of the development, modernization, and ongoing support of our iOS and Android applications.

We operate established online education and e-commerce platforms serving customers nationwide. Our technology environment includes mobile applications, React-based web applications and payment flows, .NET applications and APIs, and legacy ASP.NET Web Forms systems.

We are looking for a senior-level engineer who can work across this environment and build reliable, secure, high-performance mobile applications.

Required Experience

iOS

• Expert-level experience developing production iOS applications

Backend & API Experience

You must be comfortable working with applications backed by Microsoft technologies, including:

• .NET / ASP.NET APIs
• REST APIs
• JSON
• OAuth / JWT authentication
• SQL Server
• Secure API communication
• API debugging and troubleshooting

You do not need to be primarily a .NET backend developer, but you must understand .NET-based architectures well enough to work directly with our backend engineering team and independently diagnose integration issues.

React Experience

Experience with React is strongly preferred.

Parts of our web applications and payment systems are built in React. We want a mobile developer who understands modern React applications and can work effectively across mobile, web, and backend teams.

Experience with React Native is valuable, but candidates must also have strong knowledge of native iOS and Android development.

Payments & E-Commerce

Strong preference will be given to developers with experience implementing:

• Online payment flows
• Credit card processing
• Apple Pay
• Google Pay
• Stripe or similar payment platforms
• PCI-related security practices
• Subscription or enrollment workflows
• Transaction error handling
• Payment analytics and monitoring

• Retrieval-augmented generation
• AI personalization

AI experience is a plus, but deep mobile engineering experience is the priority for this position.

This is not a junior or mid-level position.

• Maintained applications with real customers and real transaction volume
• Diagnosed difficult production bugs
• Worked with complex backend systems
• Managed App Store and Google Play releases
• Worked with payment systems
• Improved existing applications rather than only building greenfield projects
• Strong understanding of application architecture and security
• Ability to independently investigate problems and recommend solutions
