What they need
- You’ll be part of a small, talented team of engineers and designers crafting the Medal experience on iOS: from real-time recording and clipping to social feeds, content discovery, and chat
- You’ll help shape our mobile architecture, influence product direction, and ship experiences seen by millions of gamers, moving fast in a team where an idea pitched on Monday can be in users’ hands two or three weeks later
- Our Stack
- Electron, React, Redux, Styled Components & other modern web-based technologies
- C# and C++ for native Windows recording & more
- Swift for iOS, Kotlin for Android
- Java, Redis, RabbitMQ, Kubernetes for backend
- Terraform, Salt, GitHub Actions, CircleCI for IaC and CI/CD- Experience working on complex real-time apps, video/media-heavy workflows, or social applications
- Product interest: You take ownership of broad product areas, run experiments, talk to users, and use the product avidly
- Ownership mentality: A track record of driving projects end-to-end, not just shipping discrete components
- You read and write well and can communicate and collaborate both synchronously and asynchronously
- Data-driven: Practiced at using analytics, testing, user feedback, and bug/crash reports to inform development
- Obsession with quality of code and interfaces
- 5+ years of recent experience shipping iOS apps (recency matters, since the platform evolves fast)
- Bonus: Experience working with video on mobile at a consumer-facing company, or AVFoundation experience
- Swift Concurrency and Combine experience
- A love for gaming, however you define it!
- Swift, UIKit, and SwiftUI knowledge
- Experience using REST APIs and working with backend teams to accomplish product goals
Other offers great for you!
