Senior IT Application Engineer

About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Application Engineer to join our Senior IT Application Engineering team. In this role, you will act as a core technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) delivering Tier 2 and Tier 3 engineering support, driving enterprise identity initiatives, and optimizing corporate collaboration systems.

You will join a tight-knit pod of 5 high-performing engineers recognized across the organization for delivering scalable solutions and cross-functional problem-solving. Your primary focus will center on supporting critical Okta application integrations, identity architecture, and a strategic Okta deprecation roadmap.

Key Responsibilities :

• Identity Engineering & Architecture: Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 advanced technical support, architecture governance, and application integrations within Okta.
• Deprecation & Migration Initiatives: Deliver technical milestones supporting the planned Okta deprecation project, ensuring seamless cutovers, offboarding workflows, and access continuity.
• Enterprise SaaS Administration: Manage domain configurations, user access lifecycles, and security controls across Google Workspace and Slack Enterprise.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner directly with internal business teams and 5 engineering teammates to translate requirements into secure, high-impact enterprise deliverables.
• SME Guidance: Serve as an escalation authority for complex directory synchronization, Single Sign-On (SSO), and authentication issues.

Requirements :

• 8+ years of dedicated enterprise IT engineering experience managing corporate identity, directory systems, and workplace platforms.
• Identity Platform Expertise: Deep hands-on experience with Okta application support, SSO integrations, lifecycle management, and enterprise identity architecture.
• Productivity & Collaboration Suites: Proven track record administering Google Workspace and Slack at an enterprise level.
• Certification: Active Okta Certified Consultant (OCC) certification.
• Mindset: Strong engineering foundation combined with high-touch stakeholder and customer support capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Hands-on administration experience with Active Directory and hybrid directory architectures.
• Working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) identity and cloud environments.
• Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure and access management.

This posting is for a contract assignment with Tundra Technical Solutions to provide services to Amazon.

The pay range that Tundra in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $45.00/hour - $50.00/hour.
