Senior IT Architect / Python Developer – Finance - Freelance/Payroll/CDI

As part of a transformation project, the client's Excel/VBA-based valuation model needs to be transformed and deployed on the client's internal cloud solution. The role requires someone who can both design and build the IT solution — not just implement a predefined architecture.

Missions

• Take over (handover) an ongoing development project

• Design the IT solution and its architecture, aligned with the client's broader IT landscape and blueprints

• Understand the already documented business requirements

• Collaborate with business teams (including the client's and internal BA) to translate practical issues arising in the valuation process into enhanced user stories / business requirements

• Develop APIs and functions in Python

• Lead the migration of the Excel/VBA model to the client's cloud solution

1. Proven, hands-on IT Architect able to both design and build — strong Python development skills required, not just architecture on paper
2. .NET: an added advantage
3. Prior experience working in the finance industry (mandatory)
4. Solid understanding of finance products such as ABS, capped guarantees, uncapped guarantees, and risk-sharing mandates
5. Knowledge of the valuation process within a financial institution (mandatory)
6. Excellent knowledge of English, both oral and written
7. Ability to work within tight deadlines and react swiftly in a client-focused, high-quality service environment
8. Excellent organisational skills with an ability to prioritise
9. Excellent interpersonal skills for dealing with external clients
