Senior IT Engineer

Kongsberg Maritime has more than 8,300 employees in 35 countries. To support this mission, we are looking for a Senior IT Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure team in Spain. Responsibilities Manage and maintain cloud and on-premises infrastructure platforms, ensuring availability, security, and performance. Support cloud migrations, modernization initiatives, and infrastructure improvements. Administer servers, operating systems, storage, and access management. Monitor environments, troubleshoot incidents, and implement corrective actions. Contribute to ITSM processes, including incident, request, and change management. Manage backups, disaster recovery, patching, and software deployment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and scalable platform solutions Preferred competencies Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Experience with cloud platforms like Azure or Vmware Cloud Director. Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux administration, networking, and Vmware virtualization. Experience with automation and scripting (PowerShell). Understanding of cybersecurity and identity/access management. Experience with Veeam Backup and disaster recovery. Familiarity with ITIL/ITSM processes and tools. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication, teamwork, and customer service orientation. Ability to adapt quickly and work effectively in a dynamic environment. English B2+/C1, apply with a English resume + motivaiton letter will be required.
