Senior IT Engineer (Potential IT Lead)

As a Senior IT Engineer in the Cloud & Infrastructure team, you will help maintain a secure, reliable, and practical IT environment. The role combines workplace IT, security, compliance, and infrastructure support, including endpoint management, office IT assets, security controls, and collaboration on Linux, Kubernetes, and cloud systems.

The position requires hands-on troubleshooting, security and compliance coordination, and collaboration with employees, vendors, and technical teams in both Japanese and English. Some on-site work is required for physical devices and office systems.

Responsibilities

* Workplace and endpoint operations

* Security, compliance, and audit readiness

* Infrastructure and Kubernetes support

* Technical leadership where applicable

Must-have skills

* Strong enterprise networking and security knowledge, including L2/L3, VPNs, firewalls, and security gateways

* Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible

* Strong Linux experience

* Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, and security best practices

* Familiarity with IDS/IPS, EDR, SIEM, and SOAR

* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

* Strong communication and collaboration skills

* Professional Japanese and business-level English

Nice to have

* Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD, or similar technologies

* Networking certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE

* Security certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or Security+

* Experience with monitoring/logging tools such as Prometheus, New Relic, or Grafana
