Senior IT Program Manager

For our client, we are seeking a Senior IT Program Manager to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This role will lead complex IT program execution across multiple concurrent initiatives in a government-focused environment. You will serve as a key liaison between technical and operational stakeholders, ensuring governance, delivery discipline, and strong contract performance. The position also requires translating policy direction into actionable plans while guiding internal teams and subcontractors toward measurable program outcomes.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $170,000 – $230,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Lead IT design and implementation efforts while serving as the primary liaison for the client
• Manage contract performance and drive achievement of key performance indicators
• Provide leadership and guidance to personnel and subcontractors
• Oversee project management for multiple concurrent initiatives and resources
• Ensure effective communication between technical and operational teams
• Establish governance mechanisms based on Agile best practices
• Develop strategy documents and translate policy direction into actionable plans

Qualifications

• 8+ years of IT program or project management experience in large-scale government or enterprise programs
• Experience with CMS programs, especially ACA and NSA
• Proven managerial experience in technical environments with direct reports
• Strong problem-resolution and manpower utilization skills
• Experience directing and managing teams with complex, interrelated activities
