Senior IT Project Manager – AEC / Enterprise Transformation

Job Summary

Our client, a leading architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) organization, is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager – AEC / Enterprise Transformation to lead complex, enterprise-wide business and technology initiatives. This individual will drive cross-functional projects, business process improvements, and organizational transformation efforts while establishing project governance, accountability, and execution discipline in an evolving project management environment.

Core Responsibilities

• Independently lead complex, enterprise-wide business and technology projects from planning through implementation, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, timelines, and deliverables
• Establish project governance, structure, milestones, dependencies, communication plans, and accountability frameworks in an environment without a fully established PMO or standardized methodology
• Manage cross-functional business transformation initiatives spanning IT, Finance, HR, Operations, project delivery, cloud platforms, and enterprise applications
• Drive business process improvement and organizational change initiatives, including enterprise hierarchy changes, timekeeping implementations, HR technology initiatives, and enterprise platform enhancements
• Proactively identify and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, competing priorities, and downstream organizational impacts while facilitating timely decision-making
• Partner with business leaders, IT managers, technical teams, product owners, and project stakeholders to maintain alignment, communicate progress, and support successful adoption of new processes and technologies
• Apply Agile/Scrum principles and appropriate project management practices to improve execution, stakeholder engagement, and delivery outcomes while providing guidance to junior project management team members as needed

Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves)

• Significant project management experience within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry
• Senior-level experience leading large, complex, cross-functional enterprise projects from initiation through implementation
• Proven experience managing enterprise business transformation, organizational change, and technology initiatives
• Strong business process improvement experience, including the ability to assess existing processes and drive operational efficiencies
• Demonstrated ability to establish project structure, governance, timelines, and accountability in environments without a mature PMO or standardized project management methodology
• Experience coordinating cross-functional stakeholders across IT, Finance, HR, Operations, and business delivery teams while managing risks, dependencies, and competing priorities
• Excellent executive communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, and organizational skills, with the ability to operate independently and drive projects forward

Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves)

• Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint
• Experience with ERP platforms commonly used within the AEC industry
• Experience leading ERP-related business process improvements and enterprise application initiatives
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies and the ability to adapt delivery approaches to project needs
• Experience working in an organization establishing, developing, or maturing its PMO and project management practices
• Experience with organizational change management, stakeholder communications, and end-user adoption strategies
• PMP, Scrum Master, or other relevant project management certification

Work Environment

• Onsite, Hybrid or Remote: Primarily remote, with potential quarterly travel

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $54.00 and $78.00 per hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
