Senior IT Project Manager — Digital Platform Implementation

WebMax is a South African digital transformation company delivering cloud solutions, websites, business systems, automation, cybersecurity and digital skills programmes.

We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager for a major public-sector website redevelopment and digital platform implementation project.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the project from initiation through implementation, handover and support.
• Establish project governance, reporting structures and communication protocols.
• Develop and maintain the project plan, schedule, budget and resource plan.
• Manage risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies through a RAID register.
• Coordinate technical, UX/UI, cybersecurity, content migration and testing teams.
• Facilitate project steering committee and stakeholder meetings.
• Monitor milestones, deliverables, quality standards and contractual obligations.
• Manage change requests, scope control and project documentation.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing, training, deployment and handover.
• Produce weekly, monthly and executive-level progress reports.

Minimum requirements

• PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, IPMA or equivalent recognised project-management certification.
• At least five years’ experience managing complex ICT or digital transformation projects.
• Demonstrated experience delivering website, CMS, cloud or software implementation projects.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary technical teams.
• Strong knowledge of Agile and traditional project-management methodologies.
• Excellent stakeholder management, reporting and presentation skills.
• A relevant degree or diploma is advantageous.
• Public-sector project experience is highly advantageous.
