Senior IT Strategist

Redhawk Federal is seeking a former deputy CIO, chief technology officer, or IT division chief in a DoD cyber or IT organization, or a contractor strategy lead who reported directly to a CIO and CISO. Successful candidate will have overseen a team that received, interpreted, and executed USCYBERCOM TASKORDs, FRAGORDs, or Cyber Tasking Orders, and can describe that workflow from receipt through compliance reporting.

• Hands-on technical depth across classified and unclassified networks, multi-level VTC, CI/CD pipelines, hybrid cloud migration, and data lake development.
• Serves as the primary point of contact for the DC3 Chief Information Officer and provides high-level strategic and operational support to the CIO and the directorate.
• Develops, maintains, and aligns all IT enterprise strategic initiatives, including portfolio and acquisition strategies and roadmaps, delivered by the last business day of each month.
• Leads the CODE Strategic Communications Plan and the Enterprise Technical Debt Register.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree minimum in Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Engineering.

Master's degree preferred.

PMP, required

DoD 8140 qualification for DCWF 901 Executive Cyber Leadership, 651 Enterprise Architect, or 804 IT Investment/Portfolio Manager

Critical Traits and Experience: Must-Have in Resume

• Active PMP certification.
• At least one year in the last three leading and supervising teams performing IT (Cyberspace), Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, and Data/AI work as defined in DoDI 8140.01.
• At least one year in the last five, and experience within the last five years, briefing a CIO and CISO on agency-wide planned, recommended, and directed actions.
• At least two years in the last seven overseeing personnel who receive, interpret, plan, brief, execute, and report on orders issued by the Commander of USCYBERCOM or a subordinate commander, the National Manager for National Security Systems, or another commander with authority over DC3 CIO-managed systems.
• At least three years in the last ten leading teams in classified and unclassified Government and private networking and infrastructure environments of similar scope.
• At least three years in the last ten building, operating, securing, defending, and extending LAN/WAN systems, including wireless, firewalls, routing and switching, IPv6, VPN, cloud, virtualized servers, and storage arrays.
• At least five years in the last seven with unified communications, including design, installation, maintenance, and administration of VTC systems across Unclassified, Secret, and TS/SCI environments.
• At least one year in the last three leading teams running a CI/CD pipeline using containerization, micro-segmentation, and Infrastructure as Code.
• At least two years in the last five leading teams that planned and executed legacy system migration into multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud environments.
• At least two years in the last seven leading personnel who developed data lakes and other elements of a modern data strategy.
• TS/SCI clearance eligible and U.S. citizen at quote submission.
