Senior Java Backend Engineer (Java 17/21)

We are looking for a Senior Java Backend Engineer to join our growing Java Development Competence Center . Reporting directly to the Tech Lead , you will be part of an experienced international team, contributing to the design and development of high-quality software solutions for leading international client.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate backend engineer who enjoys building scalable applications, working with modern technologies and continuously expanding their technical expertise.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high-quality backend applications using Java 17/21 ( Groovy)
• Develop scalable applications based on microservices architecture .
• Design, develop and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Develop applications using Spring Boot and modern Java frameworks.
• Integrate asynchronous messaging solutions using Kafka .
• Contribute to frontend developments using Angular 21 when required.
• Collaborate closely with the Tech Lead to define technical solutions, architecture and development best practices.
• Write clean, efficient and maintainable code following industry standards.
• Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work in a n Agile/Scrum environment alongside developers, QA and Business Analysts.
• Ensure timely delivery while maintaining high quality standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 4–6+ years of professional experience in Java software development.
• Strong expertise in Java Backend development.
• Solid experience with Java 17 .
• Strong experience with Spring Boot .
• Experience with Kafka or other event-driven messaging platforms.
• Proven experience developing microservices-based applications .
• Experience building REST APIs and working with distributed systems.
• Experience with Angular 21 is a plus.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Professional level of English.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in an international team.
