Senior Java Developer

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Java Developer to join our dynamic software engineering team. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and implementation of robust backend systems and scalable web applications. Duties

• Lead the development and maintenance of backend systems using Java, ensuring they are scalable, efficient, and secure.
• Design system architecture and develop APIs for seamless integration across various platforms using RESTful principles.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to create engaging UI components with React, Angular, or similar frameworks, ensuring a cohesive user experience.
• Implement microservices architecture leveraging cloud infrastructure such as Azure or AWS to optimize system performance and scalability.
• Conduct code reviews, unit testing, debugging, and performance tuning to uphold high-quality software standards.
• Develop and maintain database schemas and queries for relational databases like SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL; utilize ORM tools such as Hibernate or Entity Framework.
• Participate actively in Agile software development processes including Scrum meetings, sprint planning, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).

Requirements

• Proven experience developing enterprise-grade applications using Java and related frameworks such as Spring Boot or WCF.
• Strong understanding of system design principles for distributed systems and microservices architectures.
• Proficiency in front-end development including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Angular or Vue.js.
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure platforms like Azure or AWS for deploying scalable applications.
• Familiarity with version control tools such as GitHub, GitLab, SVN or TFS; knowledge of CI/CD pipelines is essential.
• Solid understanding of database design and management using SQL (T-SQL), PL/SQL or NoSQL databases like MongoDB.
• Experience working within Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban; excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of software engineering best practices including UML modeling, application security standards, and SDLC processes.

Pay: $42.00 - $65.00 per hour
