Senior Java Developer

Role & responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and enhance enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Microservices.
• Contribute to the modernization of legacy Java applications, including migration of legacy code to Spring MVC and modern application architectures.
• Develop scalable, reliable, and high-quality solutions for complex enterprise-grade systems.
• Work within a POD-based Agile development environment, collaborating with developers and multiple cross-functional teams.
• Ensure high standards of code quality, performance, consistency, and technical delivery.
• Participate in application design, development, testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities.
• Collaborate with team members to deliver solutions within agreed timelines while maintaining quality and productivity.
• Support knowledge sharing and mentorship within the development team, particularly by guiding junior developers.
• Leverage modern development practices and productivity tools such as Copilot to improve development efficiency and delivery quality.
• Contribute to technology initiatives involving the development and modernization of large-scale, business-critical systems.

Preferred candidate profile:

• 7+ years of hands-on Java development experience in enterprise application development.
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Microservices.
• Good experience in legacy application modernization or migration initiatives.
• Strong understanding of enterprise application design, development, integration, and coding best practices.
• Experience working in Agile/POD-based development environments and collaborating across multiple teams.
• Ability to develop reliable and scalable solutions while maintaining high standards of code quality.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and technical troubleshooting capabilities.
• Ability to work effectively in complex, large-scale application environments.
• Good communication, collaboration, and stakeholder interaction skills.
• Ability to mentor and support junior developers and contribute to knowledge-sharing within the team.
