Who We're Looking For

We are looking for a Senior Java Backend Developer to join an international banking environment, working on the development and evolution of Java-based applications and distributed systems . The role involves developing robust backend solutions, contributing to architectural decisions and driving the evolution of scalable and resilient systems.

✅ Professional Experience & Main Tasks

• Develop and maintain backend applications using Java.
• Design and implement robust, scalable and resilient solutions using Java, Spring and Struts .
• Develop and evolve microservices-based architectures and distributed systems.
• Work with Kafka and event-driven architectures.
• Contribute to technical and architectural decisions , ensuring the quality and scalability of solutions.
• Analyse existing systems and identify opportunities for technical improvements and optimisation .
• Lead the development and implementation of complex backend functionalities.
• Collaborate with technical teams to define solutions and ensure alignment with the overall application architecture .
• Support the continuous evolution, modernisation and improvement of existing applications.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and contribute to ensuring performance, scalability and reliability .
• Share knowledge and provide technical guidance to other developers when required.

✅ Skills & Experience

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in Java backend development.
• Strong experience with Java, Spring and Struts .
• Strong knowledge of Kafka and distributed systems.
• Strong experience with microservices architectures .
• Good understanding of scalable, resilient and high-availability architectures .
• Experience with software architecture and technical design .
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical solutions.
• Previous experience in banking or financial services is a plus.
