Senior Java Developer

About the role

As an Application Developer: Cloud FullStack, you will develop and deploy cloud-based applications using microservices design patterns, integrating front-end, back-end, and middleware components. You will utilize expertise in multiple layers of application development to deliver efficient and secure cloud-based solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop cloud-based applications using microservices design patterns, integrating front-end, back-end, and middleware components, and persisting data in NoSQL or RDBMS databases
• Utilize DevOps methodologies and tools to ensure efficient development, testing, and deployment of cloud-based applications
• Work with senior level practitioners to design, build, and maintain cloud environments, focusing on uptime, access, control, and network security using automation and configuration management tools
• Integrate multiple technologies, including Angular, React, CSS3, HTML5, Java, JEE, Spring, Hibernate, Groovy, REST/SOA services, APIGEE, API Connect, and NoSQL/RDBMS databases, to deliver comprehensive cloud-based solutions

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience building backend services in Java, with strong hands-on experience in Spring Boot.
• Strong understanding of RDBMS design and performance (PostgreSQL preferred), including migrations, locking, and isolation levels.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration in production environments.
• Solid Linux systems administration and Bash scripting skills.
• Experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines, with exposure to security/compliance tooling (e.g. Checkmarx, JFrog, SonarQube, or equivalents).
