Senior Java Developer

We are seeking a Senior Java Developer with strong experience in Java, Kafka, MongoDB, Kubernetes, and multi-cloud environments, including Azure. This role focuses on designing scalable, reliable enterprise systems, solving complex technical challenges, and driving engineering best practices across teams.

The ideal candidate will have strong software development fundamentals, experience with distributed systems and cloud-native architectures, and the ability to mentor engineers, reduce technical debt, and lead technical improvements.

Must-Have Skills

• 5+ years of overall IT or software engineering experience.
• 3+ years of Java development experience.
• 3+ years of Apache Kafka experience.
• 2+ years of MongoDB experience.
• Multi-cloud exposure and working knowledge, including Azure.
• Kubernetes experience.
• Strong knowledge of system design, distributed applications, and scalable architectures.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and software engineering best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and document high-quality software components and libraries.
• Build scalable, reliable systems using Java, Kafka, MongoDB, Kubernetes, and cloud technologies.
• Perform root cause analysis and lead initiatives to resolve systemic issues.
• Identify and reduce technical debt while improving system performance and reliability.
• Implement security best practices and disaster recovery strategies.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote code quality, testing, and reusable design patterns.
• Collaborate across teams to improve engineering practices and eliminate duplicated effort.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and develop prototypes to support architectural improvements.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with object-oriented analysis and design (OOAD) and UML.
• Test-driven development (TDD) and Java design patterns.
• Enterprise integration design patterns.
• Disaster recovery design and development.
• Experience with Agile, Scrum, Kanban, or XP methodologies.
