Senior Java Developer (Spring Boot & AWS)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Java Developer with strong expertise in Core Java 8, Spring Boot, Java EE, EJB, JSP, Servlets, Microservices, and AWS Cloud Services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and modernizing enterprise-grade applications while ensuring scalability, security, reliability, and cloud readiness.

The role requires hands-on development experience, strong problem-solving capabilities, cloud-native development expertise, and the ability to mentor junior engineers while driving engineering best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Application Development

• Develop enterprise applications using Java 8 and Java EE standards.
• Implement scalable backend solutions using Spring Boot.
• Design and develop Microservices-based applications.
• Build dynamic web applications using JSP and Servlets.
• Develop reusable, secure, and maintainable software components.
• Implement business logic using EJB 3.2.

Microservices & API Development

• Design and implement RESTful APIs and backend integrations.
• Build scalable and fault-tolerant Microservices architectures.
• Ensure high availability and performance of backend services.
• Implement secure API communication and integration patterns.
• Apply industry-standard design patterns and coding practices.

AWS Cloud Development

• Develop and deploy applications on AWS cloud platforms.

• Work with AWS services including:

• EC2

• Lambda

• S3

• API Gateway

• CloudWatch

• Support cloud-native application modernization initiatives.

• Implement monitoring, scalability, and performance optimization strategies.

• Participate in cloud migration and deployment activities.

Architecture & Design

• Participate in technical architecture and system design discussions.
• Review technical designs and provide implementation recommendations.
• Contribute to application modernization and cloud transformation initiatives.
• Ensure alignment with architecture standards and engineering practices.

Quality & Performance

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the application stack.
• Perform code reviews and enforce coding standards.
• Optimize application performance and scalability.
• Ensure application quality through testing and continuous improvement.

Team Collaboration

• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, QA teams, and stakeholders.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum development processes.
• Mentor junior developers and support technical knowledge sharing.
• Contribute innovative ideas to improve development processes and delivery quality.
