Senior Java Developer with Active Secret Clearance

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer with an active Secret clearance to join our dynamic team. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining robust software solutions primarily using Java technologies. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in building scalable microservices architectures and integrating cloud services, ensuring secure and efficient operations in a mission-critical environment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet stringent security standards and client requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain Java-based applications using Java 11/17+ frameworks and best practices.
• Design and implement microservices architectures leveraging Spring Boot, ensuring modularity and scalability.
• Integrate security features using Spring Security to safeguard applications against vulnerabilities.
• Work with Hibernate and JPA for efficient data persistence and management.
• Build RESTful APIs for seamless communication between services and external systems.
• Collaborate with cloud teams to deploy and manage applications on AWS and Azure platforms.
• Utilize ICAM (Identity, Credential, Access Management) principles to ensure secure access controls.
• Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and performance tuning to optimize application performance.
• Follow Agile methodologies to deliver high-quality software within project timelines while adhering to security standards.

Experience

• Strong professional experience in Java development, specifically with Java 11 or later versions such as Java 17+.
• Proven expertise in Spring Boot, Spring Security, Hibernate, JPA, and microservices architecture.
• Hands-on experience developing REST APIs and integrating cloud services on AWS and Azure platforms.
• Familiarity with ICAM concepts related to identity management and access control systems.
• Active Secret clearance is required, with prior experience working on secure government or defense projects preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment while managing multiple priorities.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $134,000.00 per year
