Senior Java Developer with Spring Boot

Project overview: Cloud Platform is focused on developing modern Java based services and APIs in a cloud environment. The project uses microservices, containerization, and Kubernetes to support reliable and scalable application delivery.

Position overview: We are looking for a Senior Java Developer to help design, develop, and support cloud native applications built with Spring Boot, Microsoft Azure, and Kubernetes.

Technology stack: Java 17+, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, Microservices, Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Messaging Systems, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Git

Responsibilities: Design high performance Java applications using Java 17+ and Spring Boot

Develop and maintain Java applications in production environments

Build RESTful APIs for business and integration needs

Optimize microservices architectures for scalability and reliability

Develop cloud native solutions on Microsoft Azure

Deploy applications in Kubernetes environments

Manage Kubernetes based application environments

Troubleshoot applications running in Kubernetes environments

Implement CI/CD pipelines for application delivery

Automate deployment processes across delivery workflows

Collaborate with architects to deliver business requirements

Collaborate with product managers to deliver business requirements

Collaborate with cross functional teams to deliver business requirements

Ensure application scalability across supported services

Ensure application security across supported services

Ensure application reliability across supported services

Ensure application performance across supported services

Participate in code reviews across the engineering team

Mentor junior engineers in development practices

Mentor mid level engineers in development practices

Monitor production applications and infrastructure

Troubleshoot production applications and infrastructure

Contribute to system design decisions

Contribute to technical documentation

Contribute to engineering best practices

5+ years of hands on experience in Java development

Experience with Java 17+

Experience with Spring Boot

Experience with microservices architecture

Experience working with Microsoft Azure cloud services

Hands on experience with Kubernetes in production environments

Understanding of containerization technologies including Docker

Experience with relational databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server

Knowledge of REST APIs

Knowledge of messaging systems

Knowledge of integration patterns

Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins

Understanding of cloud security practices

Understanding of observability practices

Understanding of monitoring practices

Experience with Git

Experience with modern software development methodologies

Upper Intermediate or higher English proficiency

Nice to have: Communication skills
