Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Java/J2EE development, Spring Boot, RESTful API development, and DevOps practices. This role involves leading code development, designing scalable solutions, and providing technical guidance on complex engineering challenges.The candidate should be proactive, eager to learn, and capable of working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support Java-based applications within the payments ecosystem.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Contribute to full-stack development, cloud-enabled services, containerization, and on-premises deployments.
• Participate in system design, including server architecture, high availability, disaster recovery, and production deployment planning.
• Support database and data architecture design, including schema design, data mapping, storage optimization, and RDBMS/NoSQL integration.
• Design reliable and scalable APIs, including request/response schemas, business logic, data access, logging, resilience, and supportability.
• Contribute to software delivery through hands-on development, architecture support, and performance optimization.
• Apply DevSecOps practices, tools, and processes throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Analyze user requirements and design, develop, and maintain software solutions accordingly.
• Troubleshoot complex software and technical issues and provide effective solutions.

Required Qualifications

• 9+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java/J2EE and the Spring Framework, particularly Spring Boot.
• 6+ years of experience developing and maintaining RESTful APIs or application interfaces using Java or similar object-oriented languages.
• Experience with Eclipse, Maven, and Gradle.
• Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and software delivery processes.
• 4+ years of coding and scripting experience.
• Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, data modeling, and application integration.
• Understanding of application design, scalability, availability, performance, and production support.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Experience in financial services or payments systems.
• Familiarity with cloud-enabled applications, containers, and hybrid on-premises/cloud environments.
• Knowledge of DevSecOps, secure coding, and automated deployment practices.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• A proactive, adaptable professional who takes ownership and is eager to learn.
