🔎 What we look for?

We are currently looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Java & Spring) who enjoys building scalable, cloud-native applications while working in a collaborative Agile and DevOps environment to join one of our strategic international projects within the banking sector .

📍 Hybrid model : Attendance at the client's offices in central Madrid 3 days per week is required.

⚙ Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate within cross-functional Agile teams following a DevOps-centric delivery model.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, release, and monitor business-critical applications.
• Participate actively in code reviews and champion software quality best practices.
• Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver valuable solutions.
• Partner with Solution Architects to design scalable and maintainable software aligned with enterprise architecture guidelines.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and service-oriented solutions.
• Implement automated testing strategies using TDD and BDD practices.
• Deploy and manage applications in Kubernetes-based environments.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and continuous delivery initiatives.

💡 Mandatory Requirements:

• Strong experience in Java development and Spring Boot .
• Solid understanding of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and RESTful APIs.
• Experience working with Oracle SQL databases.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes , Docker , and Helm .
• Knowledge of cloud-native application deployment and management, preferably in Azure environments.
• Experience with GitLab , Jenkins , and CI/CD practices.
• Strong understanding of DevOps principles and automated testing.
• Proven experience working with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and/or Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) .
• Experience participating in Agile software development teams.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• C1 English level .

🎩 Nice to Have:

• Experience with Kafka and event-driven architectures.
• Knowledge of Avro serialization.
• Experience working with OpenAPI specifications.
• Familiarity with UML modeling techniques.
• Experience within financial services or banking environments .
• Passion for software craftsmanship, engineering best practices, and continuous improvement.
