Senior Java Engineer

Role description

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Java Software Engineer who is passionate about developing high performance platforms. General Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in application development, production support, or application operations, including experience leading technical incident resolution.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot applications.
• Experience supporting business-critical applications hosted in cloud environments.
• Proven experience leading production incident investigations and coordinating cross-functional technical teams.
• Good understanding of cloud infrastructure, application monitoring, and performance troubleshooting.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and client leadership.
• Ability to independently drive issue resolution and proactively identify opportunities for application improvements.

Responsibilities

• Participate in daily-standups and other scrum ceremonies
• Develop software designs and specifications using the Java programming language
• Test code through various means: unit tests, integration tests and performance tests
• Contribute to the design, development, testing, deployment, and support of scalable microservices in a multi-region cloud environment
• Be a champion for engineering excellence
• Become and stay an expert in current and emerging technologies and tools
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation for our tier-1 critical services facing millions of users worldwide.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience with Java
• Splunk and AI tools development/usage in SDLC
• Minimum 10 year’s experience with backend development
• Minimum 10 year’s experience with Microservices
• Minimum 10 year’s experience Developing Java API’s
• Experience working with Relational Databases.
• Fluent in Java programming language.
• Understanding of message based distributed, scalable, and resilient systems.
• Desire to work in a start-up, fast-growth, or rapid-change environment.
• Experience working on a diverse workplace.
• Problem-solving skills to identify the root cause and implement the fix.
• Solid communication skills – written, and oral.
• Ability to be flexible, adapting to changing priorities.
• Experience transforming requirements into software design, documentation and software.
