ISSION

e are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Engineer to join a collaborative Agile engineering team delivering scalable, cloud-native solutions. This role is ideally suited to an experienced engineer who is passionate about software craftsmanship, enjoys knowledge sharing, and thrives in a highly collaborative environment where pair programming is a fundamental part of the team's day-to-day way of working.

orking within a modern engineering culture, you will help design, develop, and maintain high-quality applications using Java and AWS, while contributing to continuous improvement across development practices, automation, and delivery processes.

• esign, develop, and maintain robust, scalable applications using Java.

• uild and deploy cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS services.

• articipate in daily pair programming sessions as a core part of software delivery.

• ollaborate closely with engineers, architects, product stakeholders, and delivery teams.

• hampion engineering best practices including Test-Driven Development (TDD) and clean code principles.

• ontribute to the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines to enable efficient and reliable software delivery.

• upport code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• roubleshoot, optimise, and enhance existing applications and services.

• romote a culture of collaboration, learning, and engineering excellence.

XPERIENCE REQUIRED

S

• ignificant experience working as a Senior Java Engineer, Software Engineer, or Developer within Agile delivery environments.

• emonstrable experience delivering production-grade applications using Java and AWS.

  P

• roven track record of working within teams that utilise pair programming as a standard engineering practice.

  E

• xperience working across the full software development lifecycle.

  S

• trong background in automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous deployment.

• bility to collaborate effectively with distributed teams and non-technical stakeholders.

• xperience working within consultancy, enterprise, or large-scale technology environments would be advantageous.
