Senior Java Software Developer

Project description

Client is looking for a talented and motivated Back-End Developer to join their E-Trading application development team. This is a hands-on role focused on building and enhancing backend eTrading modules for our in-house FX Ecommerce platform.
You will work closely with front-end developers and business stakeholders to deliver high-performance, user-friendly interfaces that support the Technology function in the bank.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend applications using Core JAVA, SpringBoot, restful and streaming based Api servers.
• Collaborate closely with other back-end developers to implement seamless client-server API interactions on the Web UI. Also, participate in peer code and design reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Work alongside Business Analysts and Project Managers to translate requirements into functional features.
• Handle code deployments, releases, and other operational tasks on a rotational basis, with a strong emphasis on automation and continuous improvement of the build and deployment processes.

Skills

Must have

• 6+ years of strong proficiency in modern Java and unit and integration testing frameworks (Junit etc)
• Comfortable using tools such as Bitbucket (Git), Jira, and Confluence.
• Experience in Linux, shell scripting etc, security ascepts , SQL based Databases.
• DevOps (Bitbucket, Jenkins, SonarQube, VeraCode, Artifactory)
• Ability to adapt to evolving requirements and work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with agent-based coding assistant tools is a plus.
• Financial domain experience is optional, but a strong willingness to learn is essential.
