Senior Java Software Engineer (Full Stack)

We’re hiring a Java Software Engineer (Full Stack) at Zoolatech! We’re looking for an engineer with a strong Java background who is also comfortable contributing across the full application stack in Poland.

Our client is a leading U.S. fashion retailer offering apparel, footwear, beauty, and home goods through 350+ stores and established eCommerce platforms.

You’ll work closely with U.S.-based engineers, business partners, and product managers, as well as other contractors around the world.

What you’ll work on:

• Build and maintain applications with Java and Spring Boot, contributing across backend services and frontend functionality.

• Develop REST APIs and reusable components, ensuring application performance and responsiveness.

• Write automated tests, investigate issues, and debug applications.

• Work with Kafka to support real-time data streaming and event-driven architectures.

• Deploy and manage containerized applications with Kubernetes.

• Build and optimize cloud-native applications on AWS.

• Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting using New Relic and Splunk.

• Support secure networking and cloud security best practices.

• Lead application upgrades, platform migrations, and infrastructure updates with minimal business impact.

• Collaborate with your peers, mentor junior developers, and participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.

What we’re looking for:

• Strong hands-on Java development skills.

• Familiarity with Spring Boot.

• Proficiency in REST APIs and SQL.

• JavaScript skills and willingness to work on frontend tasks as part of a full-stack role.

• Familiarity with AWS, Kubernetes, and Kafka.

• Understanding of CI/CD processes.

• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as New Relic and Splunk.

• English communication skills for daily collaboration with the U.S. team and international colleagues.

The role will suit a Java engineer who enjoys backend development and wants to contribute across application development, cloud infrastructure, and production reliability.

To facilitate this direct partnership, we engage with professionals who are registered and operate as a sole proprietorship, private entrepreneur, or an equivalent self-employment status in your country.
