Great food. Strong partnerships. Commercial results.
At Prolife Foods, our purpose is simple: Great Food with Obsessive Service. With operations in New Zealand, Australia and Singapore, we bring quality food products to customers through our FMCG brands, self-selection offering and honey business.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Key Account Manager to strengthen our major category partnerships and help deliver sustainable, profitable growth.
About the role

You will combine a clear understanding of customer priorities with strong commercial judgement, developing account plans that deliver value for both Prolife Foods and our retail partners. Comfortable moving between long-term strategy and day-to-day account activity, you will turn opportunities into practical plans and measurable results.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Building trusted relationships with buyers, category managers and other key customer stakeholders.
- Developing and delivering customer account plans and joint business plans aligned with our commercial objectives.
- Driving sales and margin growth through effective ranging, distribution, pricing and promotional activity.
- Leading customer negotiations and account reviews, balancing customer needs with business profitability.
- Managing account budgets, trade investment and promotional expenditure, with a focus on return on investment.
- Using sales, shopper and category insights to identify opportunities and recommend action.
- Preparing accurate forecasts and working with planning, supply chain and operations teams to support product availability.
- Collaborating with marketing, product development and merchandising teams to deliver new product launches and effective in-store execution.
- Providing the Interim CEO with clear updates on account performance, opportunities, risks and recommended priorities.
About you
You are an experienced FMCG account manager who builds strong relationships and follows through on commitments. You understand the pace and complexity of grocery retail and bring the confidence to negotiate, influence and make sound commercial decisions.
You will bring:
- Proven success managing significant grocery accounts within the FMCG sector.
- Experience working with Woolworths NZ and/or Foodstuffs, with an understanding of their customer structures and ways of working.
- Strong financial and commercial capability across sales, margins, pricing, trade investment and forecasting.
- A track record of developing account plans that deliver measurable growth.
- Confident negotiation, presentation and relationship management skills.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into clear recommendations.
- The ability to coordinate internal teams and influence outcomes across the business.
- A practical, proactive approach, with the organisation to manage competing priorities across multiple accounts.
- Experience within food manufacturing or branded grocery products would be an advantage.
Why Prolife Foods?
This role offers broad exposure across New Zealands unique self selection brands and a direct reporting relationship with the Interim CEO. You will have the opportunity to shape account plans, contribute to commercial decisions and see the impact of your work across our business.
