About The Role We are looking for a candidate to join our team. The ideal candidate brings troubleshooting skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve basic application issues.

Job Title: Senior L1.5 Support Engineer AS 400

Key Responsibilities

• Perform advanced technical triage, monitor system health and backups, and act as a critical technical bridge between L1 helpdesk and L2/L3 engineering teams.

Minimum Qualifications

• Troubleshooting skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve basic application issues.
• Communication skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with users and document incidents clearly.
• Technical proficiency: Ability to work with an AS400 operating system, Cobol, DB2 Querying, CL (Command Line).
• Aptitude to learn: Quick learners able to pick up WINS, Nightly jobs and associated Policy Data processing.
• Problem solving skills: Ability to be able to spot trends
• Basic DB2 SQL and Data analysis skills
• Experience with application performance monitoring tools e.g. Dynatrace/IBM application monitoring tools
• Application expertise: Some experience with supporting Legacy AS400 apps or experience in insurance domain.
