JOB Position: Senior Lab Technician

Industry: Chemical / Petrochemical / Industrial Manufacturing

Job Summary.

Education

Diploma / B.Sc. / B.Tech. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Laboratory Technology or related field, as applicable to the candidate's experience.

Experience

Minimum 57 years of relevant industrial laboratory experience, preferably in a chemical, petrochemical, refinery, fertilizer or other process industry.

Key Responsibilities:-

• Receive and process plant samples according to laboratory procedures and SOPs.
• Perform chemical analyses as per approved SOPs and assigned authorization level.
• Record and maintain laboratory results accurately in LIMS.
• Review historical test results and report any significant variations or abnormalities.
• Perform SPC and SQC activities as scheduled.
• Ensure laboratory equipment is calibrated, valid and ready before analysis.
• Prepare chemical solutions, reagents and standards according to GLP procedures.
• Maintain proper labeling of samples, chemicals, reagents and laboratory materials.
• Monitor laboratory gases and replace/order cylinders when required.
• Maintain laboratory consumables, chemicals, spare parts and inventory.
• Support troubleshooting and initial diagnosis of laboratory equipment/problems.
• Retain and dispose of samples according to SOP requirements.
• Maintain laboratory housekeeping, cylinder areas, stores and waste areas.
• Support QA/QC activities and preparation/revision of laboratory procedures.
• Assist in training and mentoring new laboratory technicians and trainees.
• Participate in safety meetings, safety awareness programs and emergency response activities.
• Follow all company safety, quality and environmental procedures.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Shift Supervisor or Laboratory Management.

Required Skills :-

• Industrial chemical laboratory experience.
• Strong knowledge of chemical analysis and laboratory testing.
• Experience with LIMS.
• Knowledge of SOP, GLP, QA/QC, SPC and SQC.
• Experience in laboratory equipment calibration and troubleshooting.
• Good knowledge of chemical handling, reagents and laboratory safety.
• Ability to review analytical results and identify abnormal variations.
• Good English communication skills.

• AGE LIMIT :- Min. 22 - Max. 40 Years.
• Duty hours :- 10 Hrs. / 6 days a week.
• Contract Period :- 2 years.
• NATIONALITY :- India.
