Senior Landscape Engineer (Hardscape & Softscape)

Job Purpose

The Senior Landscape Engineer will be responsible for leading landscape projects from technical review and shop drawing approval through site execution, inspection, and final handover. The ideal candidate must possess strong expertise in hardscape execution (grading, paving, outdoor structures, water features) and softscape operations (irrigation systems, soil preparation, planting, and turf management).

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the end-to-end site execution of landscape works (Hardscape & Softscape) in full compliance with project specs, approved IFC drawings, and quality standards.
• Review, revise, and approve landscape shop drawings, composite coordination drawings, levels, and builder’s work details.
• Supervise irrigation system installation, including pump stations, main lines, drip/sprinkler networks, and automated controllers.
• Conduct precise quantity take-offs (QTO), material submittals, and contractor invoice verifications for all landscape packages.
• Coordinate landscape works with civil, MEP, architectural, and infrastructure site teams to resolve site clashes prior to execution.
• Inspect incoming plant material, soil mixes, hardscape stones, tiles, lighting, and outdoor fixtures to ensure compliance with consultant approvals.
• Manage, evaluate, and monitor subcontractors and labor productivity, ensuring strict adherence to project timelines and safety guidelines.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly landscape progress reports for management and client representatives.
• Inspect finished works and lead the final testing, commissioning, and handover processes for landscape and irrigation systems.

Requirements

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Agricultural Engineering (Landscape Architecture / Ornamental Horticulture).
• 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in Landscape Engineering within Contracting or Real Estate Development firms.
• Strong track record of executing large-scale residential compounds or commercial landscape projects.
• Deep technical knowledge of both Hardscape (paving, cladding, water features, pergolas) and Softscape (irrigation networks, plant species, soil conditioning).
• Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office (Excel, Word). Proficiency in Civil 3D or Revit is a plus.
• Excellent understanding of irrigation design, pump hydraulics, and drainage solutions.
• Strong leadership, site management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Residence in or near El Sheikh Zayed / 6th of October is highly preferred.
