Senior Lead / Associate Architect - Azure Data Engineering

About the Role

At Data Semantics, we re looking for a passionate and motivated Senior Lead / Associate Architect - Azure Data Engineering to join our growing team. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable data solutions on Microsoft Azure and drive end-to-end data platform initiatives.

What We re Looking For

We d love to hear from candidates who have:

• Strong experience in Azure Data Engineering and Architecture
• Hands-on expertise with Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse, Azure SQL, Blob Storage, and Logic Apps
• Experience designing Data Lake, Data Warehouse, and Delta Lake architectures
• Strong SQL and T-SQL skills
• Experience building scalable data pipelines and large data transformations
• Experience with CI/CD using Azure DevOps
• Strong understanding of data governance, security, and access control
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical architecture solutions
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn
• Proficiency in PySpark, SQL, Python, or scripting languages

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect end-to-end data solutions on Azure aligned with business and technical requirements
• Define data architecture patterns for Data Lake, Data Warehouse, and Delta Lake implementations
• Lead the design and implementation of data pipelines using Azure services
• Provide technical leadership in solution design, code quality, and best practices
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable architectures
• Conduct architecture reviews, design discussions, and technical workshops
• Ensure implementation of data security, governance, and access control frameworks
• Guide teams on performance optimization, scalability, and cost optimization
• Drive CI/CD implementation and DevOps practices for data platforms
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance across projects
• Support client interactions including solution demonstrations and architectural discussions

Desired Experience

• Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD practices
• Experience in Self-Service BI / Analytics solutions
• Exposure to multi-domain or enterprise-scale data platforms
• Familiarity with modern workplace tools and collaboration platforms
