Senior Lead Frappe / ERPNext Developer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Lead Frappe / ERPNext Developer to spearhead the design, architecture, deployment, and customization of our enterprise management platforms. In this role, you will be responsible for building full-stack applications using the Frappe Framework, managing multi-tenant site deployments using Frappe Bench, and integrating business logic across modules such as HR, POS, Accounting, Inventory, and CRM.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain custom applications and custom DocTypes on top of the Frappe Framework
• Extend core ERPNext modules (Finance, Inventory, HR, POS, and CRM) to align with complex organizational workflows
• Write clean, maintainable Python backend methods, client scripts (JavaScript/jQuery/Vue), custom server scripts, Jinja templates, and Doc Events
• Implement role-based access control (RBAC), custom permissions, and approval workflows across applications
• Provision, configure, and maintain development, staging, and multi-instance production environments using Frappe Bench
• Administer servers running on Linux (Ubuntu) and Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) via terminal/Bash commands
• Oversee system performance, automated site backups, database indexing, and background queue management (Redis/Python RQ)
• Design and consume secure RESTful APIs to integrate ERPNext/Frappe apps with third-party software, mobile portals, and legacy databases
• Manage relational database schemas, write optimized complex SQL queries, and conduct database migrations on MariaDB and PostgreSQL
• Lead end-to-end development life cycles (SDLC) from technical planning and sizing to deployment and release

About you

• 5+ years of dedicated, hands-on experience developing with Frappe Framework, Frappe Bench, and ERPNext
• Advanced proficiency in Python, object-oriented programming (OOP), background jobs, and server-side architecture
• High proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), jQuery, HTML5, CSS3, React.js or Vue.js, and REST API handling
• Advanced skills in MariaDB and PostgreSQL (schema design, indexing, and performance tuning)
• Experience with Linux (Ubuntu) server configuration, Nginx, Redis, and terminal/Bash operations
• Advanced proficiency with Git, GitHub / GitLab, and CI/CD development flows
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
• High technical adaptability and willingness to lead software architecture decisions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for team collaboration
