Senior Lead Software Engineer (Advanced Technology Solutions)

Job Responsibilities:

● Product Design and Development

o Leads the architecture, design and implementation of technical solutions in multiple market segments that meet customer and regulatory requirements.

o Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers to develop world-class products in highly regulated markets.

o Familiar with SW development processes & workflows to realize products on a product/system level.

o With the relevant technical competencies, lead and execute product realization from conceptual stages all the way through the manufacturing transition.

o Able to support the development of technical proposals for customers, providing technical solutions to realize concepts and estimating associated labor and material costs required.

o Recognized subject matter expert for one or more technical areas. See Technical Competencies section.

Technical Competencies:

● Core Technical Expertise

o Full-stack embedded systems architecture and development across multiple disciplines (Hardware, Cloud, and Mobile).

o Mastery in at least one or more programming languages, e.g. C, C++, or Rust.

o Deep knowledge in OS development such as RTOS and Linux Device Drivers development

o Experience in software security processes like OS hardening and encryption.

o Foundational electronics knowledge for circuit design and basic schematic reviews.

o Proven experience driving software compliance and documentation in accordance with IEC 62304 (Medical) and/or DO-178C (Aerospace) is an added advantage.

● Cyber Security

o Secure Architecture & Design: Implementation of secure boot, hardware-based roots of trust, and firmware resiliency principles (e.g., NIST SP800-193, IEC 62443-4-1, IEC 62443-4-2) for robust embedded systems.

o Risk Management: Experience in conducting threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and implementing mitigation strategies for industrial control systems (ICS) and IoT environments.

● Process and Methodologies

o Proficiency in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices, including unit and integration testing.

o Expertise in requirements analysis and translation into technical specifications for software/hardware integration.

● Leadership and Professional Skills

o Advanced problem-solving and critical thinking for cross-domain hardware and software troubleshooting.

o Strong technical leadership and customer-facing communication skills for global project coordination.

Job Requirements:

● Master or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer, Electronics Engineering, Embedded Software or similar field.

● Minimum 5-10 years of direct working experience in product design within a multi-disciplinary environment, having completed multiple product development cycles.

● PHD applicants with fewer years of industry experience will be considered.

● Fluent in both written and spoken English, ability to work with an international team.

● Strong team work attitude, collaboration and communication skills.

● Business travel possible (including overseas travel).

● Self-motivated with the capability to drive development efforts to completion.
