Senior Lecturer

About the role

PIHMS is seeking a professionally qualified Senior Lecturer to contribute to the organisation's teaching and research in the discipline of management. The Senior Lecturer will deliver across a range of business management courses to domestic and international students eager to qualify as professionals in the global hospitality industry. The Senior Lecturer will be an experienced academic who is research-active and keen to develop their own pedagogical practice to deliver high-quality, integrated learning opportunities. PIHMS' senior lecturers are expected to supervise master's thesis students.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver business management courses to domestic and international students
• Supervise master's thesis students
• Educate and mentor young talent in business management principles
• Prepare and deliver master-level programmes, including online delivery
• Produce high-quality curriculum or programme materials
• Actively promote and support the programs by establishing and maintaining relationships with academic, industry and professional communities
• Work collaboratively and collegially with fellow academics within the academic team
• Support colleagues and students with developments in their subject area or specialisation

About you

• PhD in management or DBA
• Demonstrated ability to supervise master's degree research outputs
• Demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver master-level programmes, including online delivery, and to produce high-quality curriculum or programme materials
• Emerging track record of research outputs
• Experience in provision of academic leadership and direction for students
• Experience in and commitment to the principles of adult learning
