What they need

About

We’re looking for an experienced Licensed Immigration Adviser to join our recruitment team and take ownership of the immigration side of our business in Christchurch, Canterbury

We recruit skilled people from overseas and bring them to New Zealand for roles across construction, trades and specialist industries. Immigration is a big part of what we do, so we’re looking for someone senior who understands the process, knows their stuff, and can become a trusted part of our team.

What you’ll be doing

  • Managing visa and immigration applications from start to finish
  • Providing immigration advice to candidates and employers
  • Working closely with our recruitment team to ensure candidates are properly managed through the process
  • Keeping up to date with Immigration New Zealand requirements and policy changes
  • Identifying potential immigration issues early and finding practical solutions
  • Ensuring our processes remain compliant and professionally managed
  • Supporting the business with immigration strategy and advice
  • Building strong relationships with candidates, clients and the wider team

What we’re looking for

This is a senior position, so we need someone who can hit the ground running.

You’ll ideally have:

  • A current New Zealand Licensed Immigration Adviser (LIA) licence
  • Significant experience handling New Zealand immigration matters
  • Strong knowledge of AEWV, employer accreditation, job checks and related visa processes
  • Excellent attention to detail and compliance standards
  • The confidence to deal directly with employers and candidates
  • A practical, solutions-focused approach
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The ability to work independently and take ownership

Why join us?

We’re not looking for someone to simply process applications.

We want someone who will become a key part of our business, work closely with our recruitment team and have a genuine influence on how we manage immigration and our overseas candidates.

You’ll have the opportunity to work in a fast-moving recruitment environment where you can see the complete journey , from finding the right person overseas through to getting them successfully working in New Zealand.

If you’re an experienced LIA who enjoys working with people, likes being involved in the bigger picture and wants a role where your experience is genuinely valued, we’d like to hear from you.

Other offers great for you!
