Role Description

The Senior Lighting Designer will be responsible for leading the design and development of advanced lighting concepts for interior and exterior projects, ensuring alignment with architectural intent and client requirements. Day-to-day tasks include creating detailed lighting plans, specifying fixtures and control systems, producing technical drawings and documentation, and coordinating with architects, interior designers, engineers, and project managers. The role involves reviewing project requirements, conducting lighting calculations and simulations, preparing presentations and visualizations, and providing guidance to junior designers. The Senior Lighting Designer will also participate in design reviews, support client meetings, and contribute to continuous improvement of design standards and best practices. This is a full-time remote role.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Lighting Design and Architectural Lighting.
• Candidates should possess practical experience in Lighting Control and overall Lighting systems.
• Candidates should possess a solid foundation in Interior Design and its integration with lighting concepts.
• Relevant experience in commercial, residential, and outdoor lighting projects, including technical documentation and specification writing.
• Proficiency with lighting design software and tools (e.g., Dialux, Relux, Revit, AutoCAD) and familiarity with applicable lighting standards and codes.
• Excellent visual, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present design ideas to stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a remote environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Lighting Design, Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, or a related field; advanced certifications in lighting are an advantage.
