The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on experience in Linux system administration, AWS (EC2, S3), and infrastructure automation using tools such as Ansible, along with proficiency in scripting (Bash/Python) and monitoring solutions. A strong mindset towards problem-solving, ownership, and maintaining high-availability and secure environments is essential.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and evolve distributed systems across on-premise and AWS environments (EC2, S3)
  • Design and maintain observability (monitoring, alerting, logging) using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK/OpenSearch
  • Administer and maintain Linux (Ubuntu) and Windows Server environments
  • Automate infrastructure using Ansible for provisioning, patching, and configuration management
  • Troubleshoot incidents across network, OS, and application layers
  • Ensure system security, including vulnerability management, access control, and compliance
  • Collaborate with development teams to support deployments and optimize performance
  • Administer and optimize databases and messaging systems (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, etc.)
  • Develop backup strategies and maintain system documentation
  • Participate in on-call rotations and lead incident response
  • Develop and test new infrastructure solutions and enhancements
  • Design and maintain backup and disaster recovery strategies
  • Optimize AWS environments including cost management and capacity planning.

Requirements

Technical Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in Linux system administration (Ubuntu)
  • Experience in Windows Server administration
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM)
  • Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python) for automation
  • Experience with Ansible for configuration management (required)
  • Knowledge of networking concepts and tools (e.g., Cisco ASA, protocols)
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, CloudWatch)
  • Strong understanding of security best practices (firewalls, SSH hardening, vulnerability management)
  • Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL (required) and familiarity with NoSQL/databases (MongoDB, Redis, etc.)
  • Experience with Git-based workflows

Qualifications:

  • Strong command of English (written and verbal)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in Linux system administration or infrastructure engineering
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator) are an advantage
