About the role

We are seeking a Senior Logistics Checker, Operations to join our team at Capital Human Resource Management Pte. Ltd. This is a full-time position based in the East Region, offering a strategic opportunity to oversee and manage logistics checking operations within our warehousing and distribution facility.

As Senior Logistics Checker, Operations, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, efficiency and compliance of all goods movement and storage operations. This position is fundamental to maintaining our operational excellence and directly contributes to customer satisfaction and business profitability. You will be responsible for leading checking operations, quality assurance processes, and supporting the logistics team to achieve operational targets.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all logistics checking operations, including inbound and outbound goods verification
• Conduct thorough inspections of goods to ensure quality standards, accuracy and compliance with documentation
• Coordinate with warehouse staff and operations teams to ensure smooth flow of materials and adherence to standard operating procedures
• Identify and report discrepancies, damages or irregularities in goods and documentation, and initiate corrective actions
• Maintain detailed records of all checking activities, including inventory counts, inspections and audits
• Train and mentor junior logistics checkers and warehouse staff on best practices and checking procedures
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies and recommending process enhancements
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations within the warehouse environment
• Liaise with customers, suppliers and internal departments regarding logistics enquiries and issues
• Support management with reporting on operational metrics and performance KPIs

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3 - 5 years' experience in logistics checking, warehouse operations or a similar role within the warehousing, storage and distribution industry
• Proven track record of accurately conducting goods inspections, inventory verification and quality assurance checks
• Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and proficiency in using relevant logistics software and tools
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies and maintain high accuracy standards
• Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in supervising or mentoring warehouse or logistics staff
• Sound understanding of health, safety and environmental compliance standards in warehouse operations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
• Certification in logistics, warehouse management or related qualifications would be advantageous
• Physical capability to perform checking duties, including lifting and handling of goods
