Senior Logistics Coordinator – Ossett – Competitive Salary

Elevation Recruitment Group are proud to be partnering exclusively with an established global manufacturer in Ossett who is looking to recruit a Senior Logistics Coordinator to join their growing team.

This is a varied, fast-paced role at the centre of the site's outbound operation. You will plan and schedule finished goods deliveries, manage a contract fleet alongside subcontract hauliers, and keep production, customer services and the warehouse working to the same plan. It would suit someone with a solid logistics background who enjoys a busy day, solving problems and getting the best value out of every load.

Senior Logistics Coordinator Duties

• Scheduling customer orders daily, including orders from external warehouse sites, and creating the daily loading schedule for the goods-out warehouse
• Maximising the use of contract vehicles while managing vehicles and drivers within legal guidelines
• Booking approved subcontract hauliers for overspill loads and negotiating competitive spot rates for multi-drop work
• Working closely with customer services, planning and purchasing to align production, raw material collections and vehicle arrivals
• Coordinating inbound and outbound loads with external warehouses and keeping the warehouse team updated on any changes
• Monitoring haulier performance/transport costs and raising purchase orders

The Person

• 3 years' experience in a warehousing and logistics environment
• Strong communication skills
• A good level of IT literacy
• Experience in an FMCG environment would be an advantage
