Job Summary

CONIN International Consultants is seeking a qualified and experienced Senior Logistics Engineer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and monitoring logistics and site logistics activities to ensure efficient movement of materials, equipment, manpower, and resources in accordance with approved project requirements, schedules, safety standards, and applicable UAE regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise logistics activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop and implement site logistics plans, material movement plans, access arrangements, and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate the movement, storage, and distribution of construction materials, equipment, and resources.
• Review logistics-related drawings, plans, method statements, schedules, and procedures.
• Monitor site access, traffic management, material handling, storage areas, loading/unloading zones, and temporary facilities.
• Coordinate with the Resident Engineer, project managers, architects, civil and MEP engineers, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and relevant authorities.
• Monitor contractor logistics activities and ensure compliance with approved plans, project specifications, schedules, and safety requirements.
• Review and coordinate material delivery schedules to minimize delays and disruption to construction activities.
• Identify logistics constraints, site access issues, material delivery risks, and potential impacts on project progress.
• Recommend practical corrective and preventive actions to resolve logistics-related issues.
• Monitor project logistics progress and coordinate activities in line with the approved construction programme.
• Review and verify contractors' logistics proposals, method statements, and related submissions.
• Prepare logistics reports, site inspection reports, progress updates, and relevant project documentation.
• Ensure compliance with UAE authority requirements, traffic regulations, health and safety requirements, and project quality management systems.
• Attend technical, coordination, and progress meetings and provide logistics engineering support.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
• Support project teams in identifying opportunities to improve logistics efficiency, productivity, and cost effectiveness.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers, logistics coordinators, and site personnel when required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Logistics Engineering, Construction Management, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in construction logistics, site logistics, or project coordination, with substantial experience in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of UAE construction practices, authority requirements, traffic management, and site logistics procedures.
• Experience in large-scale building, infrastructure, or mixed-use construction projects is preferred.
• Experience in reviewing logistics plans, method statements, material delivery schedules, and contractor submissions.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and project management/planning software.
• Strong knowledge of construction planning, material coordination, site access, and resource management.
• Excellent communication, coordination, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• UAE consultancy experience is preferred.
• UAE Driving License is an advantage.
