Senior Logistics Manager

We're hiring a senior logistics professional to lead how a large offshore wind farm in Japan gets built and installed at sea.

THE ROLE

Getting turbines, foundations, cables and substations from the supplier to their final position offshore takes a lot of coordination, and you will own that plan for the project. You'll shape the overall transport and installation (T&I) strategy, pull the different workstreams into one coherent approach, and make sure the project is ready to start construction. Once work is underway, you'll keep that strategy on track and adjust it when there's a better way to do things.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Build and maintain the project's T&I strategy, delivery plans and integrated construction schedule

• Bring together specialists and package teams to keep everyone working from the same plan

• Spot risks, dependencies and bottlenecks early, and put mitigation in place

• Own the handoffs between contractors, work packages and stakeholders, and close any scope gaps

• Help package managers define execution approaches and contract requirements

• Contribute to tender evaluations and contract negotiations

• Run planning and coordination meetings and give clear recommendations to the project lead

• Help the project pass its readiness reviews and move smoothly into construction

• Check progress against the plan, look for improvements, and share lessons with other projects

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• A track record of building and managing complex execution plans and construction schedules

• Confident at managing multiple contractors and stakeholders at once

• A natural leader and communicator who can steer cross-functional teams

• Analytical and practical, with a good eye for risk

• Real offshore installation experience (foundations, turbines, cables, substations or similar large-scale work)

• Strong grounding in HSE and safe working offshore

• A degree in engineering, construction management, logistics or similar (or equivalent experience)

• Fluent English, written and spoken

• Currently based in Japan

BONUS POINTS

• Offshore wind, marine construction or major infrastructure experience in Japan

• Familiarity with Japanese contractors, suppliers, regulations and business culture

• Hands-on knowledge of procurement, tendering, contract management and project controls

• Japanese language skills
