We are currently recruiting for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer (FDE) to join a high-growth applied AI technology organization in Tokyo. Our client partners with major Japanese enterprises to solve critical environmental, efficiency, and sustainability challenges by deploying state-of-the-art AI research directly into production.

Responsibilities

• Lead & Deliver Models: Architect, develop, and ship complex machine learning systems. Oversee end-to-end pipelines from data engineering to live production deployment and monitoring.
• Bridge Research & Enterprise: Translate SOTA research concepts into robust, maintainable, and scalable enterprise software.
• Drive Client Delivery: Lead technical client communications, navigate tradeoffs and risks, and mentor junior engineers across delivery work-streams.

Requirements

• Track Record: Proven experience delivering end-to-end ML solutions to production with strong software engineering fundamentals and maintainable code practices.
• Education: Degree in a quantitative, scientific, or engineering discipline (Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related).
• Language Proficiency: Japanese (for client-facing project leadership) alongside Full Professional English .
• Mindset: Challenger mentality, high initiative, and a drive to apply AI to hard environmental and sustainability problems.

Work Environment & Benefits
