Senior Machine Learning Engineer- Generative AI (REMOTE)

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer- Generative AI (REMOTE) to join the team of a leader in the Retail & Consumer Goods space.

In this role, you will help design and deliver scalable machine learning solutions that support customer-facing and operational AI initiatives. You will work closely with product and technology partners to build, automate, and monitor production-ready generative AI applications. This position also offers the opportunity to contribute to innovative work with emerging AI technologies while helping strengthen reliability, quality, and performance across the platform.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $130,000 – $155,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product teams to develop scalable machine learning solutions
• Document processes and adhere to quality standards in AI solutions
• Automate infrastructure and testing through custom coding or scripting
• Field questions and provide support for production AI applications
• Proactively monitor production systems and reported metrics
• Research and learn about new technologies to enhance skills
• Create dashboards and alerting systems for proactive issue management

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of relevant work experience in machine learning and AI frameworks
• Proficient in Python and modern development frameworks
• Experienced with generative AI applications and large language models (LLMs)
• Skills in prompt engineering, optimization, and evaluation techniques
• Experience integrating AI models through APIs from major third-party platforms
• Knowledge of implementing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and big data technologies
