Senior Mainframe Developer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Mainframe Developer with 5+ years of hands-on experience in mainframe development, system analysis, design, and maintenance. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in COBOL, IMS, JCL, and DB2, along with experience in requirement analysis, reverse engineering legacy systems, application development, and unit testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements for new initiatives and enhancements to existing mainframe applications.
• Participate in system design, development, and unit testing of mainframe modules.
• Perform technical analysis and reverse engineering of existing mainframe code and data.
• Lead the design and development of mainframe components based on project requirements.
• Maintain and enhance existing applications while ensuring quality and efficiency.
• Document and improve development lifecycle processes.
• Participate in post-implementation reviews and share technical knowledge and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders to communicate project updates, technical designs, and issues effectively.

Mandatory Skills and Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Mainframe Development.
• Strong expertise in COBOL, IMS, JCL, and DB2.
• Hands-on experience with mainframe tools and utilities, including MQ Series, File-AID, SPUFI, ISPF, and SAS.
• Experience in requirement analysis, system design, development, and unit testing.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Working knowledge of PL/I (PL1) programming along with DB2 and IMS.
• Familiarity with IDz and ADDI tools.
• Experience in reverse engineering and analyzing legacy mainframe applications.

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹1,400,000.00 per year
