Role Overview

Our client, a leading organisation in the semiconductor manufacturing industry, is seeking an experienced Senior Compensation & Benefits Manager to lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of its Compensation & Benefits (C&B) and Total Rewards framework.

This role will drive the review and enhancement of compensation structures, employee benefits, reward policies and governance processes to ensure market competitiveness, internal equity and alignment with business objectives. The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening rewards analytics, improving employee understanding of compensation practices, and building a more strategic and data-driven C&B function.

Working closely with senior management and cross-functional stakeholders, the role will also lead and develop the C&B team, driving transformation initiatives and enhancing the overall effectiveness of rewards programmes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Compensation & Benefits Strategy: Develop and implement C&B strategies, salary structures, allowances, variable pay programmes and employee benefits aligned with business objectives and talent priorities.
  • Rewards Governance: Review and streamline compensation policies, processes and approval frameworks to enhance transparency, internal equity, operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.
  • Market Benchmarking: Conduct market analysis across the semiconductor and manufacturing sectors to ensure competitive compensation and benefits practices.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Leverage compensation data, HR analytics and HRIS systems to provide insights for compensation planning, workforce cost management and strategic decision-making.
  • Stakeholder Management: Partner with senior management, HR, Finance and operational leaders to provide compensation recommendations and drive alignment on rewards initiatives.
  • Change Management: Lead initiatives to simplify compensation structures, improve employee understanding of rewards and address manufacturing workforce requirements, including shift-related allowances.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, coach and develop the C&B team, strengthening technical expertise, analytical capabilities and strategic effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Compensation & Benefits, Total Rewards or a related HR specialisation.
  • Proven experience in compensation strategy, salary structure design, benefits management and rewards governance.
  • Prior team leadership experience, with the ability to coach and develop team members.
  • Experience in the semiconductor, advanced manufacturing or high-volume manufacturing industry is strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience in compensation benchmarking, HR analytics and data-driven decision-making.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage senior stakeholders, influence business decisions and lead change initiatives.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving and project management skills.
