At MTSI, we’re known for putting people first, doing what’s right, and delivering mission impact across defense and intelligence programs. We’re growing, and we’re looking for a Senior Manager of Contracts who thrives on building strong teams, elevating processes, and shaping how critical contract activities support our customers and our future.

As a senior-level leader, you are responsible for leading the contract management function, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and providing strategic direction in contract negotiations and administration. You will be involved in significant interaction with senior leadership, developing contract strategies, and overseeing a team of contract professionals to support organizational goals.

You will partner closely with our VP of Contracts to drive strategy, modernize our contracting infrastructure, and ensure excellence across the entire contract lifecycle. If you enjoy solving complex challenges, mentoring high-performing teams, and leading with integrity, this role might be your next chapter.

  • Administer multiple contracts from formation through closeout.
  • Prepare price proposals and cost volumes in support of new business efforts.
  • Review, draft, and negotiate contract terms and conditions for new and existing business.
  • Review and negotiate Non‑Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Teaming Agreements, and other contractual instruments.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, company policies, and customer requirements.
  • OCI development.
  • Influence pricing strategy or operate alongside a pricing team.

Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Management

  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers, including DoD, Civilian and Intelligence Community partners.
  • Coordinate customer engagement with the Project Managers, functional leads, and other internal partners.
  • Respond promptly to stakeholder inquiries and follow up to ensure clarity and alignment.

Leadership & Execution

  • Manage and execute moderately complex functional and business tasks, ensuring proper coordination and efficient use of resources.
  • Lead the development of functional products, reports, and deliverables associated with assigned tasks.
  • Review functional and project deliverables produced by the team to ensure quality, completeness, and consistency with project guidelines.
  • Provide constructive feedback to team members to drive continuous improvement.
  • Accept responsibility and ownership for tasks assigned to you and your team.

Communication & Presentation

  • Clearly explain contract requirements, processes, methodologies, and results in both formal and informal settings.
  • Create focused business presentations and present them effectively to leadership and internal customers.
  • Accommodate and respond professionally to both positive and constructive customer feedback.

Professional Engagement

  • Actively participate in professional development opportunities and corporate or locally sponsored events.
  • Support and promote a collaborative environment that demonstrates strong cross-functional teamwork.

What You’ll bring

  • Strong knowledge of contracting processes, regulatory requirements, and supplier relationship management
  • Strong ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work overtime as required to meet established deadlines
  • Expertise with contract management systems, Deltek, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word)
  • Exceptional accuracy, attention to detail, and analytical strength
  • Strong communicator with the ability to build trust and work across teams
  • Proven leadership experience, including people management and developing others
  • A drive for continuous improvement, innovation, and professional growth
