Senior Manager - Institutional & Channel Sales

Job Summary

The Senior Manager - Institutional Channel Sales is responsible for driving large-scale B2B distribution and AUM growth for Wright Research s PMS, AIF, and quantitative investment strategies. This role focuses on building and scaling institutional and intermediary partnerships across IFAs, RIAs, MFDs, family offices, and wealth management firms. The position combines relationship-led sales, consultative solutioning, and strategic market development, requiring a strong understanding of capital markets, portfolio products, and distributor economics. The role carries direct revenue responsibility and plays a key part in shaping the firm s long-term distribution and growth strategy.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end institutional and channel sales lifecycle, from identifying and onboarding new distribution partners to pitching products, closing mandates, and managing long-term relationships.
• Act as a trusted advisor to distributors and institutional clients, conducting product presentations, investment discussions, and performance reviews to drive retention and wallet share.
• Collaborate closely with leadership, research, product, and marketing teams to align sales efforts with firm-wide initiatives, while tracking pipelines, sales metrics, and market feedback to refine go-to-market strategy.
• Represent Wright Research at industry forums, conferences, and partner events, ensuring all client interactions remain fully compliant with SEBI regulations and aligned with the firm s brand and thought leadership positioning.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of experience in B2B sales of financial products such as PMS, AIFs, mutual funds, or investment advisory solutions, with a proven track record of driving AUM and revenue growth through institutional and distributor networks.
• A strong, existing network across IFAs, RIAs, wealth managers, and family offices is essential.
• The role requires excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, along with a deep understanding of capital markets and portfolio construction.
• An educational background such as MBA (Finance/Marketing), CFA, CA, CFP, or equivalent is preferred, and relevant NISM certifications are mandatory.
• High ownership, credibility with senior stakeholders, and the ability to operate in a high-performance, target-driven environment are critical for success.
