Senior Manager Integrations

Position Summary

The Manager of Integration & Software Engineering leads the organization's Integration & Automation team, delivering secure, scalable, and reliable integration, API, workflow, and platform-based automation solutions that connect business applications, streamline business processes, enable digital transformation. This role provides leadership across people management, stakeholder engagement, technical delivery, solution engineering practices, and enterprise integration architecture while driving engineering excellence and AI readiness.
The Manager of Integration & Software Engineering is responsible for developing team members, managing contractors, partnering with business stakeholders, and establishing a centralized strategy for enterprise integrations, APIs, workflow solutions, and platform-based automation using modern middleware, cloud integration, and low-code platforms.

This leader is expected to cultivate a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and innovation while ensuring the team consistently delivers high-quality solutions that meet business needs and align with enterprise standards.

Position Details

Leadership & People Management

• Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing Integration & Automation team.
• Manage employees, contractors, workload, priorities, and performance.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
• Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, career development discussions, and coaching sessions.
• Establish clear goals, priorities, and performance expectations.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Recruit, hire, onboard, and retain top technical talent.
• Encourage knowledge sharing and cross-training to reduce single points of failure.

Solution Delivery & Project Management

• Lead the delivery and support of integration, API, workflow, and platform-based automation initiatives.
• Partner with business stakeholders to understand business processes, gather requirements, and identify opportunities for integrations, APIs, workflow solutions, and platform-based automation.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies including daily standups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Hold the team accountable for quality, timelines, and business outcomes.
• Monitor project progress and communicate status to leadership and stakeholders.
• Ensure successful production deployments and ongoing operational support.

Integration Engineering, APIs & Workflow Automation

• Lead the design, configuration, delivery, and support of integrations, APIs, workflow applications, and platform-based automation solutions using:
• Workato, MuleSoft, Boomi, or other low-code/no-code integration platforms
• Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps, Service Bus, API Management, Event Grid)
  • REST/SOAP APIs
  • Power Apps
  • Power Automate
• Enterprise messaging and integration platform capabilities
• Manage C# code-based integration components, extensions, and supporting services where needed, ensuring alignment with architecture, security, source control, code review, testing, and release standards.
• Develop and maintain centralized integration standards, reusable patterns, and platform delivery frameworks.
• Promote API-first and event-driven integration patterns.
• Ensure integration solutions, APIs, workflow applications, and platform-based automation are scalable, secure, reliable, and maintainable.
• Prioritize work based on business value and strategic objectives.

Technical Leadership

• Drive software engineering, enterprise architecture, integration, and platform delivery best practices.
• Promote GitHub, source control, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, release management, and automated deployments.
• Establish QA and testing standards for integrations, APIs, workflow applications, and platform-based automation.
• Implement centralized logging, monitoring, alerting, dashboards, and operational reporting.
• Challenge the team to build reusable, scalable, and enterprise-grade solutions while minimizing technical debt.
• Leads with accountability and ownership
• Challenge the team to build scalable, reusable, maintainable, and well-engineered solutions.

Innovation & AI Readiness

• Partner with business teams to identify integration, workflow, platform automation, and AI opportunities that improve efficiency and productivity.
• Ensure integration platforms and APIs support enterprise AI initiatives.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to the integration platform.
• Develop team skills through training, certifications, proof-of-concepts, and continuous learning.

Vendor & Platform Management

• Manage relationships with technology vendors and implementation partners.
• Oversee platform licensing, support, upgrades, and roadmap planning.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, Security, and Application teams to align integration strategy with business objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in enterprise integration, middleware, APIs, workflow automation, low-code platforms, or technology solution delivery.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing technical teams and contractors.
• Strong experience with Workato, Azure Integration Services, APIs, GitHub, CI/CD, Power Platform, Agile delivery, and enterprise integration patterns.

Pay: Final pay is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. For California this ranges from $177,782.00 - $227,165.00 plus annual incentive, benefits, and retirement program as outlined above.
