Pay $160,000 - $180,000 annually + 15% bonus

Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager of Software Development to lead and expand our on-shore and off-shore development teams. This role offers the opportunity to significantly impact a rapidly growing SaaS auction platform built in Node.js and React, hosted on AWS. The successful candidate will spearhead new feature development, optimize existing processes, and foster a culture of technical excellence. Reporting directly to a passionate CTO, this position provides a chance to shape the future of our product, improve team efficiency, and drive scalable solutions in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software development or management experience, with strong leadership skills
• Expertise in Node.js, React, TypeScript, AWS cloud services (S3, EC2, etc.)
• Proven experience leading cross-functional and distributed teams, mentoring developers, and fostering professional growth
• Solid understanding of SaaS architecture, multi-tenant applications, and high-concurrency systems
• Demonstrated ability to design, develop, and support scalable, client-facing applications
• Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on process improvement and best practices
• Ability to influence and inspire technical teams through leading by example
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to team growth and project delivery

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow the development team comprising on-shore and offshore members
• Drive the design, development, and deployment of new capabilities for auction and retail liquidation sites
• Improve existing development processes, establish best practices, and implement new configurations
• Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions
• Oversee end-to-end troubleshooting and complex issue resolution
• Foster a high-performance team environment, encouraging skill development and continuous improvement
• Ensure code quality through code reviews, documentation, and adherence to architectural standards
• Lead efforts to enhance application scalability, security, and performance
• Contribute to strategic planning and technology roadmap development
