Duties

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale systems engineering projects, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards through effective project scheduling and resource management.
  • Oversee the design and development of electrical systems, including PCB (Printed Circuit Board) layouts, FPGA (Field-Programmable Gate Array) configurations, SoC (System on Chip) integration, and circuit schematics using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, or SolidWorks.
  • Conduct thorough root cause analysis to troubleshoot complex issues related to electronics design, signal processing, automation systems, and manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop system specifications, perform system development verification, and ensure compliance with electrical building codes such as NEC (National Electrical Code) and NFPA 70 standards.
  • Manage system testing procedures including engineering testing, debugging using tools like oscilloscopes and ohmmeters, and validation of firmware/software components written in Python, C++, MATLAB, Perl or scripting languages.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by applying expertise in control systems, industrial automation, firmware development, and electronics troubleshooting to optimize system performance.
  • Mentor engineering staff on best practices for PCB design, soldering techniques (including surface mount technology), mechanical integration using Revit or Mechanical Engineering tools like SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor.

Skills

  • Extensive experience with FPGA development environments and simulation tools such as Simulink or SystemVerilog for hardware description language modeling.
  • Proficiency in electrical schematic design and electrical system design using CAD software like AutoCAD Electrical or similar platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of electronics design principles including circuit design, PCB layout, surface mount technology (SMT), and manufacturing processes.
  • Expertise in communications systems engineering including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), ARM-based microcontrollers like Arduino or Surface Mount Technology components.
  • Skilled in system-level troubleshooting involving signal processing issues, control systems integration, firmware debugging, and industrial automation protocols.
  • Familiarity with mechanical knowledge relevant to electrical enclosures or systems integration using Revit or MicroStation for mechanical drawings.
  • Ability to utilize simulation tools such as MATLAB or Simulink for system modeling and verification; programming experience in Python or C++ is highly desirable.
  • Deep understanding of electrical codes (NEC), safety standards like NFPA 70 compliance, and best practices for electrical building systems within manufacturing environments.
  • Proven track record practicing in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role with hands-on experience in electronics design, testing procedures, soldering techniques including surface mount technology (SMT), and firmware development.
  • Strong analytical skills for root cause analysis combined with excellent project scheduling capabilities to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.

Join us as a Senior Manager of Systems Engineering to lead innovative projects that push technological boundaries! Your expertise will help shape our future products while fostering a collaborative environment where creativity thrives. We value energetic leaders committed to excellence who are eager to make a meaningful difference through engineering mastery!
