Senior Manager (Technology Product)

Job Overview:

As a Senior Manager, Technology Product, he/she will be responsible for defining the product vision, driving product roadmap planning and execution, and leading end-to-end technology product delivery. The role involves managing cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders, overseeing governance and delivery metrics, and maximizing product value to support digital transformation across Health Insurance and Health Services.

Responsibilities:

• Lead technology product delivery by inspecting and evaluating progress through each iteration, taking accountability for every stage of the development process and final deliverables.
• Define and support the product vision by collaborating with business, technology, and delivery stakeholders, establishing performance metrics, and aligning the product roadmap with core business goals.
• Manage stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams while balancing scope, budget, time, and stakeholder priorities.
• Maximize the value contribution of technology products through in-depth market analysis, anticipating customer needs, and designing customer journey maps and enhanced user experiences.
• Oversee delivery governance, risk management, and budget control, ensuring all solutions strictly comply with regulatory requirements and business conduct standards.
• Drive agile product development stages, continuously refining processes, identifying next iteration steps, and facilitating planning, execution, and reviews.
• Support strategic digital transformation initiatives across Health Insurance and Health Services ecosystems.
• Keep abreast of emerging market trends, digital innovations, and operational landscapes across insurance, health services, financial services, and technology domains.

Requirements:

• University degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline (MBA, relevant post-graduate qualification, or project management certifications like PMP/PRINCE2 Practitioner are desirable advantages).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in technology product development, e-commerce, or a related field, preferably gained from insurance, banking, or financial institutions (candidates with less experience and strong capability will also be considered as Manager, Product Technology).
• Extensive background in business analysis within Health Insurance and Health Services.
• Proven hands-on capability to deliver complex, large-scale products/services on time with measurable results while effectively managing stakeholder expectations and driving transformation.
• Strong technical acumen with demonstrated experience in engaging in discussions with technology counterparts and influencing solution designs.
• Proactive, strategic, and user-focused mindset with solid expertise in digital strategy, Agile/Scrum practices, usability, experimentation, and data analytics.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills to connect effectively with diverse business units and regulators.
• Excellent command of written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese.
